I caught his sermon on the radio this morning and it was good. It was from a crusade held last week in CA. He spoke on the parable of the sower. When seed is sown in thorny (weed infested) ground it cannot grow and produce as it was intended to do. The weeds make it impossible to grow so we must tend to the seed sown. Such is life today. We are so distracted by the things of this world that it makes it impossible for us to grow at times. There must come a time in our lives as believers that we must choose Christ over anything this world has to offer us. Jesus Christ is the only way to have an abundant life. Always good to hear from you! Take care!
Just a thought about that parable-seed can grow in weed-infested ground, it is just much more difficult to access the necessary things. How many times do we consider someone or some situation to be weed-infested, and don't take the time and effort to help by pulling out some of those weeds. Think of pulling weeds in your garden-you have to put up with the nasty stickers, reach in, and find the root to pull it out. But first you have to dedicate the time to do it. Keep up the good work Chris, you are dedicating some serious time to Him and your Father above must be delighted!
